Kevin Gogan Madden Career 1993-2000 - Peak 94 OVR

Kevin Gogan was born on November 2, 1964 in Pacifica, California, started three years at right tackle for the Washington Huskies, and was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the eighth round, 206th overall, in 1987. He started as a rookie, moved inside to left guard in 1991 and to right guard in 1993, and won Super Bowl XXVII and Super Bowl XXVIII with Dallas, both against Buffalo. His attitude on the field earned him the nickname Big Nasty.

Gogan signed with the Los Angeles Raiders in April 1994 and started three seasons at right guard, earning his first Pro Bowl selection that first year. Madden NFL 97 rated him 85 for the 1996 season. He joined San Francisco in February 1997 and made the Pro Bowl in each of his two seasons there; he was ejected from the February 1998 Pro Bowl for kicking Neil Smith. In 1998 he blocked for Garrison Hearst's 1,570-yard rushing season and was named second-team All-Pro, and Madden NFL 99 rated him a calculated 90 for that year.

San Francisco traded him to Miami in March 1999, where he started ten games and pushed his playing streak past 150 consecutive games. Madden NFL 2000 rated him a calculated 94 for the 1999 season. He started 14 games at right guard for San Diego in 2000 and was released in February 2001, ending a career of 213 games and 179 starts.
