Draft Profile: Bio
Nate Frazier played at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California, and was selected for the All-American Bowl. He committed to Georgia in August 2023 over offers from Alabama, Oregon and Texas A&M.Frazier made an immediate impact as a freshman in 2024, running for 83 yards and a touchdown in his debut against Clemson and 136 yards and three scores against UMass, and he scored the game-winning two-point conversion in the eight-overtime win over Georgia Tech. He finished with 671 yards and eight touchdowns. He led Georgia in rushing in 2025 with 947 yards and six touchdowns on 173 carries, adding 16 catches and a receiving score, and his 181 yards on 12 carries in the win at Mississippi State were the most by a Georgia back since D'Andre Swift in 2018. He was a third-team All-SEC pick, and he left the season-ending playoff loss with an ankle injury that was not considered significant.
Frazier re-signed with Georgia for 2026, saying he did not want to leave. He opened with a 48-yard touchdown run against Tennessee State and had five touchdowns through three games, but he left the Arkansas game with an undisclosed injury, was limited against Vanderbilt and missed the win over Alabama. He returned against Auburn and has 297 yards and six touchdowns on 47 carries in six games for a team that was 6-1 before the Florida game. Kirby Smart has said catching the ball out of the backfield has been a big focus for him.

He has rare timed speed for the position, and his 181-yard day on 12 carries at Mississippi State in 2025 showed how quickly he can swing a game. He led Georgia in rushing last season with 947 yards and was a third-team All-SEC pick, and he has been productive from his first college game, with an 83-yard debut against Clemson as a freshman. He also showed receiving ability in 2025, with 16 catches and a touchdown.His 2026 season started strongly. He opened with a 48-yard touchdown run against Tennessee State, had five touchdowns through three games and is averaging more than six yards a carry, with six touchdowns on 47 carries. He has also scored in big games before, including the game-winning two-point run in the eight-overtime win over Georgia Tech in 2024, and Kirby Smart has praised his work on becoming a receiving weapon.
However, availability has become the question. He projects as a third-round running back with the ceiling of a starter if he stays healthy and grows as a receiver, and he also has eligibility left if he chooses to return. Frazier has been limited by a rib injury since the Arkansas game on 19 September. He missed Oklahoma, played four snaps against Vanderbilt and was a pregame scratch against Alabama. He has 230 yards and five touchdowns on 35 carries.
