Draft Profile: Bio
Cook began at TCU before a dominant 2025 at Jacksonville State, where he led the FBS with 1,650 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns and paced the country in yards from scrimmage on his way to Conference USA Player of the Year.He transferred to West Virginia for 2026 and stepped in as the lead back under Rich Rodriguez, opening with a 142-yard, two-touchdown game against Coastal Carolina before the production cooled against tougher Big 12 fronts.
At 5-9 and 203 pounds he is a compact, productive runner whose task is proving that the Group-of-5 volume travels against Big 12 fronts.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Led the FBS in rushing and yards from scrimmage in 2025
- Plays with pad level and play strength beyond his size
- Short-area burst and agility to make the first man miss
- Patient vision and one-cut burst to find and hit the crease
- Proven high-volume workhorse who handled a heavy load
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Undersized frame raises every-down and durability questions
- Elite production came at the Group-of-5 level
- Passing-down work lags: modest hands and shaky pass protection
- Must prove it against Power-conference Big 12 defenses
Scouting Report: Summary
Cook is a compact, productive runner who led the FBS in rushing and scrimmage yards at Jacksonville State, playing with pad level, burst and three-down usage beyond his size. However, he is undersized for an every-down role, the elite production came at the Group-of-5 level, and the long speed is less established against better fronts.Overall, Cook is a productive, well-rounded back whose size and competition level are the questions rather than the tape. He projects as a rotational back who can handle early-down and passing-down work, with the ceiling of a committee lead if the production carries to the Big 12 and the floor of a change-of-pace and receiving back.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
