2027 RUNNING BACKS WITH THE BEST HANDS

For a running back the hands grade measures the same things it does for a receiver: catch rate, drops and securing the ball through contact, most of it on checkdowns and swing passes with a linebacker closing. Christian McCaffrey (Stanford) and Reggie Bush (USC) were both first-round picks partly because their receiving was already a finished product.

The table ranks this year’s draft-eligible running backs by hands grade, alongside rushing, tackle-breaking, receiving, blocking and overall rating.
