Scouting Report: Strengths
- Fletcher would likely fit in any scheme, but he’s an interesting one-cut prospect considering the power and violence Fletcher brings once heading downfield.
- Fletcher is a natural playmaker, at his best with the ball in his hands.
- Demonstrated the ability to track the ball over his shoulder. Good flexibility and balance to adjust to the poorly thrown pass. Good vision and patience for screens.
- Shows a surprising burst to beat linebackers to the edge. Can plant his foot in the ground and explode, showing better straight-line speed than expected.
- He’s not a burner, and he is more of a block-what’s-given runner than a guy who is going to create.
- It might take him a year to get out of the habit of bouncing everything outside, but the skill set is there for him to be a workhorse and the centerpiece of a run-based offense.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- A tall, upright runner who lacks great power as a runner. Not a quick-twitch athlete and is forced to gear down too much. Not very loose throughout his frame; looks tight redirecting. Will dance and leave his feet instead of taking what's there.
- His speed is decent, but he’s not a home run hitter at the next level.
- His hands are good, but Fletcher doesn’t show much feel as a route runner and might not be a guy you flex out wide.
