Will Anderson Jr. was born on September 2, 2001 in Hampton, Georgia, played at Dutchtown High School and enrolled at Alabama. In 2021 he recorded 17.5 sacks and 34.5 tackles for loss, both national highs, and won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy. He won the Nagurski again in 2022, along with the Bednarik and Lombardi awards, and Houston drafted him third overall in 2023.
He had 7 sacks in 15 games as a rookie, won AP Defensive Rookie of the Year and was named to the Pro Bowl. Madden NFL 24 listed him at 78 for that 2023 season. He raised the total to 11 sacks in 14 games in 2024, and Madden NFL 25 rated him 83 for that year.
In 2025 he started all 17 games, recorded 12 sacks and 20 tackles for loss, was named first-team AP All-Pro and returned to the Pro Bowl; Madden NFL 26 put him at 89 for that season.
