Trent McDuffie was born on September 13, 2000 in California and played cornerback at Washington, where he was first-team All-Pac-12 in 2021. Kansas City traded up with New England to take him 21st overall in 2022, giving up the 29th, 94th and 121st picks. A hamstring injury in the opener sent him to injured reserve, and he finished his rookie year with 11 games and 11 starts. Madden NFL 23 rated him 76.
He started every game in 2023 and 2024 and was a first-team All-Pro in the first of those seasons and second-team in the next. He has never been selected to a Pro Bowl. The rating moved with the play rather than the honours, from 80 in Madden NFL 24 to 90 the year after.
He started Super Bowl LVII and Super Bowl LVIII, both Kansas City wins, and Super Bowl LIX, a 40-22 loss to Philadelphia. A knee injury put him on injured reserve in December 2025 after 13 games, a season for which Madden NFL 26 rated him 94. Kansas City traded him to the Los Angeles Rams in March 2026 for four picks, and he signed a four-year, $124 million extension, the largest for a cornerback at the time.
