Jordan Alexander Love was born on November 2, 1998, in Bakersfield, California, played college football at Utah State, and was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the first round with the 26th pick in 2020. He passed for 8,600 yards and 60 touchdowns for the Aggies and was named most valuable player of the 2018 New Mexico Bowl. He was inactive for every game of his rookie year, and Madden NFL 21 listed him at 71 overall for the 2020 season.

Love backed up Aaron Rodgers for three years and made his first NFL start on November 7, 2021, against Kansas City, completing 19 of 34 passes for 190 yards. Madden NFL 23 carried him at 66 overall for 2022. Green Bay traded Rodgers in 2023 and named Love the starter, and he threw for 4,159 yards and 32 touchdowns that season, then passed for 272 yards and three touchdowns in a 48-32 wild-card win at Dallas on January 14, 2024. Madden NFL 25 rated him 81 overall for the 2024 season, when he signed a four-year, $220 million extension.

In 2025 he completed 66.3 percent of his throws for 3,381 yards, 23 touchdowns and six interceptions across 15 games, and Madden NFL 26 listed him at 83 overall for that season. Through the 2025 season he had 11,535 passing yards, 83 touchdown passes and 31 interceptions, and he had led Green Bay to the playoffs in each of his first three seasons as the starter.
