A quiet Giants pick who became the league's richest lineman
Andrew Thomas did not announce himself. The Giants drafted the Georgia tackle fourth overall in 2020, and his rookie year hit a bump when he was benched for a game after arriving late to a meeting. What followed was a steady climb into one of the best pass-protecting left tackles in the league. By 2022 he was a second-team All-Pro, and in July 2023 the Giants made him the highest-paid offensive lineman in NFL history to that point, on a five-year, $117.5 million extension.
Injuries have since interrupted the run, a Lisfranc problem that ended his 2024 season and a hamstring that landed him on injured reserve late in 2025.
