Bo Scarbrough looked like a created player, six-foot-one and better than 225 pounds of downhill power, a two-time national champion at Alabama who was Peach Bowl MVP before a broken leg in the title game. Dallas took him in the seventh round in 2018, betting the size and the pedigree would translate into a punishing pro back.

The Madden card never really rewarded the tools. It opened at a 71 as a Cowboys rookie, then dipped to a 62 as he bounced around without a role, the number reflecting production rather than potential, and the production was thin. The one real stretch came in Detroit in 2019, six games and 377 yards as a fill-in starter, a glimpse of the bruising runner Alabama had produced, but it did not last.

He drifted through several teams before winning back-to-back USFL titles in Birmingham and retiring in 2024. Scarbrough is a familiar type, the powerful college back whose game did not carry to Sundays, a physical runner who could not stick. The card's dip from a 71 to a 62 is the honest, slightly disappointing read on a big back whose tools never became a real NFL career.
