A fifth-round Bill flipped into a Browns All-Pro guard
Teller was a fifth-round afterthought, 166th overall to Buffalo in 2018, before a 2019 trade to Cleveland turned him into one of the best guards in football. The Virginia Tech product earned second-team All-Pro honors in both 2020 and 2021 and made three straight Pro Bowls, anchoring a Browns interior that powered a heavy running game. Cleveland rewarded him with a four-year, $56.8 million extension in November 2021.
His Madden rise was abrupt rather than gradual. He sat at 69, 70 and 68 across the 2018 through 2020 editions as a Bills draft pick and early Browns starter, then leapt to a peak 89 in both the 2021 and 2022 games once the All-Pro tape caught up. The number held in the mid-80s through 2024 before dropping to 79 in the 2025 edition.
