Charles Tapper was a productive edge rusher at Oklahoma, seven sacks and four forced fumbles as a senior, and Dallas took him in the fourth round in 2016 hoping to add to the pass rush. He never got the chance, a pre-existing back condition diagnosed as a rookie costing him his entire first season before he had played a snap.

The Madden card is a strange one, rating a player who barely existed on the field. It peaked at a 76 in Madden NFL 19 and gave him grades for seasons he did not play, the game projecting a career the injuries never allowed. His actual NFL production was two games, a single sack, the back injury followed by a broken foot the next year, a body that simply would not let him play.
