With 68 seconds left in Super Bowl LIV and Kansas City nursing a lead, Kendall Fuller stepped in front of a Jimmy Garoppolo throw and sealed a 31-20 win over San Francisco. That was the signature moment of his stay in Kansas City, where he had landed as part of the 2018 trade that sent Alex Smith to Washington.
Fuller is the youngest of four football-playing brothers out of the same Baltimore-area family, all of whom went to Virginia Tech, where he was named ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2013. Washington drafted him in the third round, 84th overall, in 2016. After the title run with the Chiefs he returned to Washington from 2020 through 2023, then spent 2024 in Miami. His value was in the slot and outside, a corner who could travel and tackle.
