Stanford tight end who scored in the Super Bowl as a rookie

As a rookie in Super Bowl LI, Austin Hooper caught a 19-yard touchdown from Matt Ryan, an early flash from the Stanford tight end Atlanta had taken 81st overall in 2016. He grew into back-to-back Pro Bowls in 2018 and 2019, the second built on 75 catches for 787 yards, then cashed in with a big Cleveland contract in 2020.

The production faded after Atlanta. Hooper moved from the Browns to the Titans, Raiders and Patriots before circling back, finishing with more than 4,400 receiving yards and 30 touchdowns.

His Madden number rode that arc. Hooper started at 70 in the 2016 edition, climbed through his Falcons breakout to a peak 89 in the 2020 game, then settled into the low 70s across his years as a journeyman.
