A last-pick corner who outlasted a chaotic start
Terrance Mitchell was the last cornerback taken in the 2014 draft, a seventh-round Cowboy waived as a rookie and bouncing through practice squads, the path of a player who looked like he would never stick.
Then he found his footing. Madden opened him at a 64 and climbed him to a 79 by the 2018 edition after he intercepted four passes in Kansas City in 2017, going on to start for years in Cleveland, including a full sixteen-start 2020. Houston and Tennessee followed into his thirties, roughly 56 starts and nine interceptions behind him, proof the first couple of years do not always decide a career.
