Cleveland's college left tackle turned All-Pro left guard

Joel Bitonio came to Cleveland in 2014 as a second-round pick, 35th overall, a college left tackle out of Nevada the Browns slid inside to left guard. It worked immediately, and it kept working for more than a decade.

He started all 178 games he played, every one of them for Cleveland, and stacked up seven Pro Bowls and two first-team All-Pro selections. In 2020 he was part of a rare Browns cluster on the All-Pro team alongside Myles Garrett, Jack Conklin and Wyatt Teller. He retired in June 2026 after 12 seasons, all in the same jersey.

His Madden number reflected the consistency. He jumped to a 91 in the 2015 edition off a strong rookie year, dipped when he played through injury, then climbed to a peak 92 in the 2023 game deep into a long, quietly excellent run.
