Travis Frederick was booed on draft night, a Wisconsin center Dallas took 31st in 2013 when the consensus said he was a second-day pick, a reach that aged about as badly as a reach can for the critics. He started every game as a rookie, the first Cowboys center to do it, and never really stopped, anchoring one of the best offensive lines of the decade.

The Madden card climbed steadily to elite. He opened at a 73, rose through the 80s and into the 90s, and hit a 96 peak in Madden NFL 19, a five-time Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro who protected a rookie Dak Prescott and paved for a 1,800-yard rushing season.
