Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the Bears.

They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Akheem Mesidor, 51 picks early at the 248th pick. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

Getting Slaughter where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
