Hurst built his reputation at Tulane, where he became a two-time first-team All-AAC guard and one of the best pass-protecting interior linemen in the country, surrendering just one sack across his 2025 season.He transferred to Houston for 2026 to prove himself in the Big 12, stepping in as the starting left guard and earning preseason AP All-American first-team recognition for the Cougars.
