Draft Profile: Bio
Noah Josey was an Under Armour All-American at Brentwood Academy in Tennessee, where he won two state titles and also threw the discus and shot put. His father, Bryan, played offensive tackle at Vanderbilt.

Josey arrived at Virginia in 2021 and played in one game before making four starts in 2022. He was the left guard in all 12 games in 2023, and in 2024 he started 12 more, including his first games at center, and earned the conference's weekly offensive line award on 23 September. In 2025 he was a 14-game starter at left guard, playing 983 snaps without giving up a sack.

Now a sixth-year senior and team captain, Josey entered 2026 as one of the most experienced linemen in the country, with about 42 career starts. He has played mostly left guard with some snaps at center this season. Florida State beat him for a sack, but Syracuse managed only one hurry against him.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Experienced starter with about 42 career starts across five seasons
  • Kept a clean sack record over 983 snaps in 2025
  • Gave up only one hurry in the October win over Syracuse
  • Versatile enough to play center, where he started games in 2024
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Beaten for a sack by Florida State this season
  • SMU drew two pressures from him in a below-par October outing
  • Average length and strength for an interior lineman
  • Sixth-year senior, so he will enter the league older than most
  • Has not shown dominant power in the run game
Scouting Report: Summary
Josey is a smart, durable interior lineman with more experience than almost anyone in college football. In pass protection he is a technician, going all of 2025 without allowing a sack, and he is comfortable at guard or center.

However, he rarely moves defenders off the spot on running plays, and Florida State got to the quarterback through him for a sack this year. As a sixth-year senior, he will also be one of the oldest linemen in the class.

Overall, Josey is a reliable, versatile lineman with a high floor and a limited ceiling. He projects as a priority free agent who could earn a reserve role at guard and center.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
