Louisville Reloads Through the Portal as Brohm Hands the Keys to Lincoln Kienholz

Louisville closed 2025 at 9-4 (4-4 ACC), a steady if slightly deflating follow-up to the ACC title-game run Jeff Brohm delivered in his debut season. Now in year four at his alma mater, Brohm has again rebuilt the sport's most important position through the portal, importing Ohio State's Lincoln Kienholz to steer an offense that must replace both its starting quarterback and its top three pass catchers. The defense poured resources into its front and welcomes back its most disruptive rusher, and the Cardinals caught a break on the schedule, which skips both Clemson and Miami. The preseason consensus slots Louisville inside the top 25 and treats it as a legitimate ACC contender, provided the many new pieces mesh in a hurry.
