Clev Lubin played running back and defensive end at Suffern High School in New York, setting the program's single-season rushing record and earning Gatorade New York Player of the Year honors in his final season. He was also a two-time Rockland County basketball player of the year. He committed to Army, spent a year at the academy's prep school and redshirted at Army in 2022 without playing a game.Lubin moved on to Iowa Western in 2023, where he had 11.5 sacks and 23.5 tackles for loss, earned first-team NJCAA All-America honors and won a national title. He transferred to Coastal Carolina in 2024 and was a first-team All-Sun Belt pick, with three sacks in one game against Appalachian State. At Louisville in 2025 he started all 13 games, making 61 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss and three forced fumbles, and his 64 pressures ranked fifth in the country. He was third-team All-ACC and Academic All-ACC, and Louisville beat Toledo in the Boca Raton Bowl, a game in which he was flagged for targeting.
Lubin announced on 2 January 2026 that he would return to Louisville. He has six sacks and 29 pressures in eight games for a 5-3 team, with two sacks against SMU and eight pressures against Florida State, and he forced a fumble in the opener against Ole Miss. Louisville defensive line coach Mark Hagen has called him the Energizer Bunny, full go all the time.

A former high school running back and basketball standout, he went from Army's prep school to a junior college national title, then to Coastal Carolina and Louisville, and he has produced at every stop. His position coach calls him the Energizer Bunny, and that effort is obvious on tape late in plays, when he is still working toward the ball. He was a first-team All-Sun Belt pick at Coastal Carolina and a third-team All-ACC pick at Louisville.
However, his athletic ceiling is more good than rare. His timed speed is solid, so he wins with power and hand use more than bend, and his counters can stall against long tackles when the first move fails. He has also missed seven tackles this season after only four in 2025, and Stanford beat him for a touchdown in coverage on 31 October. Scouts will be watching whether he finishes more consistently as a tackler down the stretch.
