Draft Profile: Bio
Before the position switch, Lubin was a 1,000-yard running back at Suffern High in New York, rushing for 1,053 yards and sixteen scores as a senior and earning Gatorade New York Player of the Year. He committed to Army and spent a prep year at West Point but never played for the Black Knights.

The detour ran through junior college. At Iowa Western he helped win an NJCAA national title and earned first-team NJCAA All-America honors, then transferred to Coastal Carolina in 2024 and finished among the national leaders in sacks with 9.5, taking first-team All-Sun Belt.

His one season at Louisville was his loudest. Lubin started all thirteen games in 2025 and piled up 13.5 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks and 64 quarterback pressures, sixth-most in the FBS, while forcing three fumbles and earning third-team All-ACC before announcing a return for another season.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Top-tier pass rush, producing sixty-four pressures and eleven sacks
  • Disrupted Toledo with two sacks and eight pressures in one game
  • Sets a stout edge, posting thirty-three run stops on the year
  • Comfortable dropping into coverage on a high coverage
  • Stoned California for six run stops while adding eight tackles
  • Finishes tackles cleanly for the edge, charged with only four misses
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Ordinary burst wins with power more than pure corner bend
  • Hand counters can stall against the longest NFL-caliber tackles
  • First step is good rather than rare off the snap
  • Will need a defined alignment after a year of moving around
Scouting Report: Summary
Lubin is a productive, well-rounded edge whose pass rush sat near the ceiling of the position, and the box score backed it: sixty-four pressures, eleven sacks, and a stout thirty-three run stops. He disrupted Toledo with two sacks and eight pressures, stoned California for six stops while logging eight tackles, and even held up in coverage. He finishes tackles cleanly with only four misses, which makes him trustworthy on every down rather than a pure rusher.

The ceiling is shaped by ordinary explosion. His timed speed is good rather than rare, so he wins with power and length more than pure corner bend, and his hand counters can stall against the longest NFL tackles. The first step is solid but not elite, and after a year of moving around the front he will want a defined alignment as a pro. He is a high-floor producer whose game is more polish than top-end athleticism.

He profiles as a three-down starting edge who rushes, sets the edge, and can drop in a pinch, the kind of complete player whose floor is high even if the athletic ceiling is capped. Production at this level after a jump from the Sun Belt to the ACC makes the tape easy to trust. He grades as a Day 2 edge and a plug-and-play front-seven piece, a sound, low-variance addition.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
