Draft Profile: Bio
Kaleb Beasley was a four-star prospect and Under Armour All-American at Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, where he made 24 career interceptions and won two state titles. He also averaged 19 points a game on the basketball team.Beasley began at Tennessee in 2024, playing in 13 games mostly on special teams and making four tackles. Coaches moved him from cornerback to safety in 2025, and he returned a fumble for a touchdown against UAB that season. Louisville added him in January 2026, with Beasley entering his junior year.
Beasley ranks among the top playmaking defensive backs in the country this season. Opposing quarterbacks have completed only 12 of 22 passes thrown his way. He intercepted two passes against SMU on 19 September and Walter Camp named him its defensive player of the week, and he added picks against NC State, Florida State and Syracuse to reach five. He is a Thorpe Award semifinalist.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Ball hawk with five interceptions this season, tied for the national lead
- Intercepted two passes in the September win over SMU
- Rangy athlete who can cover the deep middle of the field
- Former cornerback with the skills to cover slot receivers
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Ten missed tackles this season, too many for a starting safety
- Wake Forest beat him for 52 yards and drew two missed tackles
- Three penalties this year, two of them in the first three games
- First-year starter after playing a limited role at Tennessee
- Gave up a touchdown in coverage against NC State
Scouting Report: Summary
Few ACC defenders have made more plays on the ball than Beasley this season. He reads quarterbacks well, closes quickly on the ball and has the hands of a former cornerback, as his two interceptions against SMU and five in total show. However, he misses too many tackles, 10 so far this season, and Wake Forest exposed him in both coverage and the run game. He is also new to starting, so teams will want to see more.
Overall, Beasley is a talented, productive safety whose stock is rising. He projects as a priority free agent for now but could move up if he returns for another year.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
