Draft Profile: Bio
Wilkin Formby was a four-star recruit at Northridge High School in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and also played basketball. His grandfather, Rod Wilkin, played at Alabama, and Formby stayed home to sign with the Crimson Tide in the 2023 class.

He played in 27 games with 16 starts at Alabama, making two starts at right tackle in 2024 and 14 more in 2025, when he moved between right tackle and guard. He left for Texas A&M through the portal in January 2026. His brother, Hayes, is an offensive lineman at UT Martin.

Formby opened 2026 as the Aggies' starting right tackle and moved to right guard for the LSU game in late September, where he has stayed. He has given up no sacks this season and one pressure in 79 snaps against Kentucky. Mike Elko had called him a natural right tackle before the season.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Clean on sacks through eight games, with four pressures in total
  • Moved from right tackle to right guard midseason without a drop-off
  • Kept Kentucky's rush quiet over 79 snaps at right tackle
  • Starting experience at tackle and guard at two SEC programs
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Run blocking lags well behind his pass protection
  • Missouri pressured him twice, his toughest pass-protection outing
  • Position is unsettled after his midseason switch to guard
  • Gave up 20 pressures for Alabama in 2025
  • Eligibility beyond 2026 is unclear, which clouds his draft timing
Scouting Report: Summary
Formby has been one of the steadiest pass protectors on the Texas A&M line. He has a clean slate on sacks this season, kept Kentucky quiet over a long afternoon and handled a midseason move from right tackle to right guard without losing his footing.

However, his run blocking does not match his pass protection, and he gave up 20 pressures at Alabama in 2025. The move inside also raises questions about where he fits best at the next level.

Overall, Formby is a versatile SEC lineman with the pass protection skills to hold a roster spot. He projects as a priority free agent with the versatility to back up at guard and tackle.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
