The Lion who picked Aaron Rodgers three times as a rookie
Joseph made his name intercepting Aaron Rodgers. As a rookie third-round pick out of Illinois in 2022, he picked Rodgers three times in one season, the first player ever to do it, and took home NFC Defensive Player of the Week for one of those afternoons in Green Bay.
The full breakout came in 2024, when he led the entire NFL with nine interceptions, earned first-team All-Pro honors and graded out as Pro Football Focus's top safety. Detroit paid him accordingly, signing him in April 2025 to a four-year, 86 million dollar extension that briefly made him the highest-paid safety in league history.
His Madden climb has been steep and recent. He opened as a 67 in the 2022 edition, nudged up to 76 and 77 over the next two games as the interceptions piled up, then leapt all the way to 90 in the 2025 edition once the All-Pro season was in the books. That jump, from the 70s to a 90 in one year, is what a league-leading season buys.
