A juco convert who earned everything the hard way
Damien Wilson took the juco road to Minnesota, converted from safety to linebacker, and became a fourth-round Cowboy in 2015 who started on special teams and worked his way into the lineup, physical and downhill.
Madden opened him at a 65 and climbed him to a 74 by the 2024 edition as his role grew. He left for Kansas City and won Super Bowl LIV as a starting middle linebacker, then put up a career-high 104 tackles in Jacksonville, a genuine every-down defender by then, a ring and a 100-tackle season on his resume.
