Brandin Cooks won the Biletnikoff at Oregon State as the best receiver in college football, then spent his NFL career proving how portable that talent was. A first-round pick of the Saints in 2014, he became one of the most well-traveled deep threats the league has seen, hitting 1,000 yards for four different franchises, the Saints, Patriots, Rams and Texans, an accomplishment almost no one else can claim.

The Madden card matched the steady excellence. He rose from a rookie 74 to an 87 peak and held in the mid-80s for years, the grade of a reliable number-one or a dangerous number-two wherever he landed, and he landed a lot of places. Two of those stops were Super Bowls, LII with New England and LIII with the Rams, the speed always keeping him valuable even as the logo on his chest kept changing. The number never spiked into stardom because he was never quite a star, just consistently very good.
