Case Keenum: Undrafted NCAA Passing Leader, Vikings Starter
Case Keenum was born on February 17, 1988 in Brownwood, Texas, and played college football at Houston, finishing as the NCAA FBS career leader in passing yards with 19,217 and in touchdown passes with 155. The Houston Texans signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2012, and Madden NFL 13 listed him at 64 for that season. He made eight starts in 2013 and threw for 1,760 yards and nine touchdowns.
Keenum played for the Rams in 2015 and 2016, throwing for 2,201 yards in 2016, a season for which Madden NFL 17 listed him at 75. He signed with Minnesota in 2017, took over after Sam Bradford's knee injury and threw for 3,547 yards with 22 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 14 starts. On January 14, 2018 he threw a 61-yard walk-off touchdown to Stefon Diggs in a 29-24 divisional-round win over New Orleans.
He signed a two-year, $36 million contract with Denver in March 2018 and set career highs with 3,890 yards and 16 starts; Madden NFL 19 listed him at 81 for that season. Washington, Cleveland, Buffalo and a return to Houston followed, and Madden NFL 25 listed him at 63 for 2024. He signed with the Chicago Bears in April 2025. Through the 2025 season he had 15,175 passing yards, 79 touchdowns and 51 interceptions.
