Nick Foles was born on January 20, 1989, in Austin, Texas. He played college football at Arizona and was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the third round, 88th overall, in 2012. Madden NFL 13 rated him 65 for that rookie season, in which he started six games. In 2013 he threw 27 touchdown passes against two interceptions, led the NFL in passer rating and was selected to the Pro Bowl. On November 3, 2013, against the Oakland Raiders, he threw seven touchdown passes to tie an NFL record.

Madden NFL 15 rated him 88 for 2014, his highest figure. He was traded to the St. Louis Rams for 2015 and spent 2016 with the Kansas City Chiefs before returning to Philadelphia. Madden NFL 18 rated him 71 for 2017, the season he replaced the injured Carson Wentz in December. In Super Bowl LII on February 4, 2018, he completed 28 of 43 passes for 373 yards and three touchdowns, caught a touchdown pass, and was named the game's Most Valuable Player as the Eagles beat New England 41-33.

Madden NFL 19 rated him 80 for 2018. He signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2019, was traded to the Chicago Bears in 2020, and made his final starts with the Indianapolis Colts in 2022. Across 11 seasons he threw for 14,227 yards with 82 touchdowns and 47 interceptions. He signed a one-day contract to retire as an Eagle on September 16, 2024.
