The undrafted Saints sack leader undone by two torn Achilles
Junior Galette took a winding road, from Temple to tiny Stillman College to an undrafted contract with New Orleans in 2010. He hit as a pass rusher, piling up 12 sacks in 2013 and 10 more in 2014 to lead the Saints, all speed and relentless motor off the edge. Then it came apart fast. New Orleans released him in July 2015, he tore his left Achilles that August, and he tore his right Achilles the following summer, wiping out two full seasons in Washington.
His Madden arc reads like the career itself: a 56 as an unknown in the 2011 edition, up to 77, then 85 in 2014 and a peak 89 in the 2015 edition, issued right as the injuries struck. He managed three sacks in a 2017 comeback but never approached his old form. In 2015 he also served a two-game suspension under the personal conduct policy stemming from a domestic violence incident.
