A Longhorn edge terror who baked cupcakes on the side
Orakpo left Texas in 2008 as the most decorated pass rusher in the country, sweeping the Nagurski, Lombardi and Hendricks awards, and Washington took him 13th overall in 2009. He announced himself with 11 sacks as a rookie and a Pro Bowl nod, the first Washington rookie so honored since 1978. The son of Nigerian immigrants from Houston, he built his game on power and relentless conditioning off the edge.
Four Pro Bowls followed across stints in Washington and, from 2015, Tennessee, where he anchored the Titans' rush before retiring after the 2018 season with roughly 56.5 career sacks. His Madden numbers climb with the reputation, a 76 as a rookie in the 2009 edition rising to a 92 in the 2014 edition when he was most feared, with a soft landing in the high 80s as the Titans years wound down. In an unlikely twist for a wrecking-ball defender, he and teammate Michael Griffin opened a Gigi's Cupcakes franchise outside Austin.
