David Stewart Madden Career 2006-2014 - Peak 93 OVR

They called him Big Country, and at 6-7 and better than 315 pounds the nickname fit. David Stewart went to Tennessee in the fourth round of the 2005 draft out of Mississippi State, sat as a rookie, then took over at right tackle in 2006 and held the post for good.

He started all 116 games he played and built a reputation as a mean, physical run blocker. In 2008 the Titans line he anchored gave up an NFL-low 12 sacks while the team went 13-3, and he earned second-team All-Pro recognition. The Pro Bowl invitations never came, but defensive ends around the AFC South knew the afternoon they were in for.

His Madden growth mirrored the slow build. He was a 72 in the 2005 edition before he had played a snap, climbed into the 80s as the starting job stuck, and topped out at 93 in the 2012 game late in his career. He closed at 90 in the 2013 edition, a decade of right-side reliability in Nashville.
