Delanie Walker Madden Career 2009-2020 - Peak 93 OVR

Delanie Walker spent seven seasons in San Francisco doing the unglamorous work, blocking, playing some fullback and catching what came his way behind Vernon Davis, before Tennessee turned him loose. Drafted in the sixth round out of Central Missouri, 175th overall in 2006, he did not become a featured receiver until his 30s.

When he did, he was excellent. Walker made three straight Pro Bowls from 2015 through 2017 and was named the 2018 Pro Bowl offensive MVP, finishing with 514 catches for 5,931 yards and 28 touchdowns across 14 seasons. He caught three passes in the 49ers' 34-31 Super Bowl XLVII loss to Baltimore. Hours after that game his aunt and uncle were killed by a drunk driver, and Walker became a vocal advocate against impaired driving.

His Madden climb came late, like everything else. He hovered in the 60s and 70s through the San Francisco years, broke into the 80s once he reached Nashville, and hit 93 in the 2016 edition, holding that number through 2018 as one of the AFC's most dependable tight ends.
