A native of Montreal, Raymond moved to Florida to play at Clearwater Academy International, then committed to Rutgers and enrolled a year early when the school shut down its football program before his senior season. He worked into the Scarlet Knights' backfield and grew into a featured runner with Power Four size and burst.In 2025 Raymond carried 244 times for 1,238 yards and thirteen touchdowns across twelve games, adding eighteen catches for 224 yards and two more scores. He forced 76 missed tackles and gained 884 yards after contact, earning Doak Walker Award semifinalist recognition as one of the Big Ten's more productive backs and one of the more unusual recruiting stories in the class.
