Draft Profile: Bio
Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa came out of St. John Bosco in Bellflower, California, where he was a Butkus Award finalist and the 2023 LA Times Player of the Year. He finished his senior season with 114 tackles and 13 tackles for loss while leading the Braves to a Trinity League title. As a junior, he posted 111 tackles and 5.5 sacks, earned CIF Defensive Player of the Year, and helped St. John Bosco win the MaxPreps National Championship. He missed his entire sophomore year after tearing his right ACL in the final game of his freshman season.A five-star by Rivals and a four-star by ESPN and 247Sports, Viliamu-Asa chose Notre Dame over Ohio State and USC before enrolling early in January 2024. He played all 14 games as a true freshman, recording 37 tackles and picking off his first career interception against Purdue.
His sophomore year in 2025 was a different level. In 11 games he posted 48 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, an interception, and a fumble recovery before a torn left ACL against Syracuse ended his season. His PFF grade ranked fourth nationally among Power Four linebackers. He is expected back healthy for the start of the 2026 season.
