Rasheem Biles, whose first name is pronounced without the S, made 74 tackles and three interceptions, two returned for touchdowns, as a junior at Pickerington Central High School near Columbus, Ohio, and he was part of the school's state championship basketball team. An injury limited him to five games as a senior, and he signed with Pittsburgh.Biles made 82 tackles with 5.5 sacks and 14.5 tackles for loss as a sophomore in 2024, earning second-team All-ACC from the AP. In 2025 he led Pitt with 101 tackles and 17 tackles for loss in 10 games, returned two interceptions for touchdowns, including a 75-yarder at Louisville, and forced two fumbles, again making the AP's second-team All-ACC. An undisclosed injury cost him three games in the middle of the season, and he finished with a career-high 16 tackles in the Military Bowl loss to East Carolina.
Biles transferred to Texas in January 2026 as the No. 2 linebacker in the portal, turning down his hometown Ohio State and noting that the Buckeyes did not want him out of high school. He was SEC co-defensive player of the week after an interception and forced fumble against Texas State, added interceptions against UTSA and Ole Miss and had multiple sacks and a forced fumble against Mississippi State. Steve Sarkisian has said simply that he is a problem.

Scouting Report: Summary
Biles is an undersized, instinctive linebacker who finds the ball and makes plays on it. He led Pitt with 17 tackles for loss in 2025, returned two interceptions for touchdowns and forced two fumbles, and he has carried that into his first season at Texas with three interceptions, multiple forced fumbles and SEC co-defensive player of the week honors in the opener. He triggers downhill so fast that he often beats blockers to the gap. He now has six interceptions over the last three seasons.He has also produced in the biggest games on the Texas schedule. He led the team in tackles at Tennessee and against Oklahoma, intercepted a pass against Ole Miss and had multiple sacks and a forced fumble against Mississippi State, and Steve Sarkisian has called him a problem. Texas is 6-2, and he has played more than 500 snaps for its defense.
However, the frame is the unavoidable concern. He is extremely light for an off-ball linebacker, climbing linemen can wash him out of run fits, and he has missed six tackles this season after 10 in 2025. His coverage underneath has also been leaky, with 29 catches allowed on 35 targets, and Ohio State completed seven of eight passes against him in September. He missed three games with an undisclosed injury in 2025, so durability at his size will be part of the evaluation. He projects as a second-round linebacker who fits a scheme that keeps him clean and lets him run, with the ceiling of a starting Will linebacker. His instincts against the run and his feel for the ball in coverage give him a path to a three-down role if he can add strength.
