Atlanta made Drake London the first receiver off the board in 2022, eighth overall, even though a fractured right ankle had ended his final USC season after eight games. The Falcons wanted the 6-foot-4 catch radius and the basketball background, and they got a rookie who broke Kyle Pitts' franchise record for receptions by a first-year Falcon with 72.
The quarterback situation held him down before it lifted him up.
