The Slim Reaper who won a Heisman and answered the frame doubts
Smith won the 2020 Heisman Trophy at Alabama, the first receiver to take it since Desmond Howard in 1991, after a season with 117 catches, 1,856 yards and 23 touchdowns. Scouts fretted about his slender frame, and the Eagles took him 10th overall in 2021 anyway. The 'Slim Reaper' answered them in Philadelphia, catching seven passes for 100 yards in the Super Bowl LVII loss and then hauling in a 46-yard touchdown in the Super Bowl LIX rout of Kansas City. He posted another 1,008-yard season in 2025.
Madden warmed to him steadily. Smith debuted at 75 in the 2021 edition, climbed to 87 by the 2023 game, and reached 89 in the 2025 edition, the high point of his card to date. Adding a Super Bowl ring to his Heisman and his college title put him in rare company.
