Jalen Hurts was born on August 7, 1998 in Houston, Texas, started as a true freshman at Alabama in 2016 and was named SEC Offensive Player of the Year, then transferred to Oklahoma for 2019. Philadelphia drafted him in the second round, 53rd overall, in 2020. He replaced Carson Wentz in December and started four games, and Madden NFL 21 listed him at 68 for that rookie season.
Handed the job in 2021, he ran for 784 yards and ten touchdowns, and Madden NFL 22 gave him a 71 for the year. In 2022 he threw for 3,701 yards, finished second in MVP voting, was named second-team All-Pro, and rushed for three touchdowns in a 38-35 Super Bowl LVII loss to Kansas City. He set the single-season record for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback with 15 in 2023, and Madden NFL 24 rated him 88 for that season.
On February 9, 2025 he beat Kansas City 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX, throwing two touchdowns and running for 72 yards, and was named the game's Most Valuable Player. Madden NFL 25 listed him at 86 for the 2024 season. Through the 2025 season he had 17,891 passing yards, 110 touchdown passes and 63 rushing touchdowns, with Pro Bowl selections for 2022, 2023 and 2025.
