Carson Wentz Madden Career 2017-2025 - Peak 86 OVR

Carson Wentz was born on December 30, 1992, in Raleigh, North Carolina, and moved to North Dakota at the age of three. He won two FCS national titles as the starter at North Dakota State, and the Philadelphia Eagles drafted him second overall in 2016, making him the highest-drafted FCS player to that point. He started all 16 games as a rookie, and Madden NFL 17 listed him at 76 overall for the 2016 season.

Wentz threw 33 touchdowns in 13 starts in 2017 and earned a Pro Bowl selection and second-team All-Pro honors. He tore his ACL in a Week 14 win over the Rams on December 10, 2017, and Nick Foles led Philadelphia to a 41-33 win over New England in Super Bowl LII. Madden NFL 19 rated him 86 overall for the 2018 season, the highest mark of his career. Philadelphia traded him to Indianapolis in 2021, where he threw for 3,563 yards and 27 touchdowns, and Madden NFL 22 had listed him at 72 overall for that season.

Washington traded for him in March 2022 and released him the following February. He started the 2023 regular-season finale for the Los Angeles Rams and the 2024 finale for Kansas City, then made five starts for Minnesota in 2025 before a shoulder injury ended his season. Through the 2025 season he had 23,626 passing yards, 159 touchdowns and 72 interceptions. He re-signed with the Vikings on a one-year contract on March 19, 2026.
