The Miami tackle who anchored Denver's line to a Super Bowl
Denver spent a second-round pick, 46th overall, on him in 2011, and the former Hurricane started all 16 games as a rookie at right tackle. He held that spot through the Broncos' peak Peyton Manning years, blocking for the record-setting 2013 offense that reached Super Bowl XLVIII, where Seattle overwhelmed Denver 43-8.
He left for San Diego in 2015 and kicked inside to left guard, a move that suited his power in tight spaces. Health and time away from his Denver-based family eventually caught up with him, and he retired in May 2018 after seven seasons split among the Broncos, Chargers and Redskins.
His Madden trajectory mirrored a big man learning the pro game. He entered at 67 in the 2011 edition, jumped once he became a fixture, and reached a career-high 90 in the 2015 edition after his transition to guard.
