Nic Anderson from Katy High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 3-star grade by 247 Sports. After high school, Anderson opted to join Oklahoma.In 2022 as a freshman Anderson saw action in just 2 games for the Sooners and didn't feature in the passing game.
As a sophomore in 2023 he played 12 games and had 31 catches for 725 yards for an average of 23.4 yards per catch, with 9 TDs, and an excellent QB rating when targeted of 145.4.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Anderson tracks the ball well downfield and consistently runs under long throws.
- Does not possess top breakaway speed, though he's rarely caught from behind.
- Anderson fights his way off the line of scrimmage against press coverage, showing quick, violent hands and good balance.
- Good effort and technique as a blocker for his size. Can beat the press with elusiveness or physical contact. Runs crisp routes with sharp cuts.
- He’s also a violent runner with the ball in his hands. He’s very good working outside the numbers, showing excellent ball-tracking skills, and Anderson does the little things well downfield, including leaving enough room on the sideline for his quarterback to drop in a throw.
- A versatile weapon, proving to be effective inside in the slot and outside on the perimeter. Makes plays at all levels of the field.
- Has a knack for getting open and is a quarterback's best friend - passers just need to toss the ball in his area and he'll come down with it.

- Anderson has constantly ran a limited route tree.
