Draft Profile: Bio
A consensus three-star recruit out of Father Ryan in Nashville, Becker drew offers from Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Iowa and Northwestern among the Power Four ranks, with Indiana winning out for a prospect ranked No. 26 in Tennessee by the 247Sports Composite. His athletic pedigree stretched beyond football: a TSSAA Division II state title in the 110-meter hurdles (14.51) and 300-meter hurdles (38.89), plus a leg on the winning 4x400 relay as a junior.The true freshman year in 2024 was a redshirt in everything but name. He played in 12 games, logged 123 special teams snaps on return and coverage units, scored a 3-yard rushing touchdown against Western Illinois in his debut and made his first career tackle on the opening kickoff at Ohio State. No targets, no receptions.
The 2025 sophomore year broke open when Elijah Sarratt went down with a hamstring injury in late October. Becker had seven catches through nine games; from Maryland on he pulled in 27 for 609 yards and four scores, with three 100-yard games down the stretch. Those included the Big Ten title win over Ohio State and a breakout at Penn State, with added touchdown catches in playoff wins over Alabama and Oregon.

However, he broke out only in a half-season on a rotational route load, his average speed means he wins by out-positioning and out-catching defenders rather than running past them, and quiet games against Illinois and Iowa flag the risk of a catch-point-dependent profile.Overall, Becker builds his game on hands, size and competitiveness, a receiver who moves the chains and wins on either side of the formation, but the target share has to climb without the reliability slipping. He projects as a starting-caliber possession X and red-zone weapon, with the ceiling of a featured target and the floor of a big-slot and special-teams contributor.
