Draft Profile: Bio
The 2023 Ohio Mr. Football and Gatorade Player of the Year out of Cincinnati's Moeller, Marshall ran for 1,951 yards and scored 33 total touchdowns as a junior, signing with Michigan as a four-star and a top-80 national recruit. He waited behind a deep backfield before his opportunity came in 2025, when an injury to the starter opened the door.Marshall seized it, rushing 150 times for 932 yards and ten touchdowns across eleven games while gaining 589 yards after contact and forcing 33 missed tackles. He added nine catches out of the backfield and re-signed with Michigan for 2026, a downhill, physical runner with the pedigree and contact balance to carry a heavier workload. The 932-yard, ten-touchdown breakout came in spot duty before he claimed the lead role, and the Mr. Football pedigree and downhill style point to a featured back if the volume grows.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Stepped up as Michigan's lead back midseason with hundred-yard games against Washington, Purdue and Northwestern.
- Purdue game was a statement: 185 yards and three scores on 25 carries.
- No fumbles on 159 touches despite a banged-up shoulder late in the year.
- Breakaway gear is real; ripped long runs against Northwestern and Ohio State.
- Squeezes yardage after contact, with nearly six hundred such yards in eleven games.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Receiving game is raw; two drops against Ohio State capped a thin season through the air.
- Sample is small: one year of real work, and a shoulder injury trimmed even that.
- Scan-and-slide assignments caught him late more than once in protection.
- Workload endurance is unproven beyond a six-week stretch as the lead option.
Scouting Report: Summary
Michigan needed someone to carry the room when Justice Haynes went down, and Marshall answered with the best month of any back in the Big Ten: hundred-yard games against Washington, Purdue and Northwestern, ten touchdowns in eleven appearances, and not a single fumble while playing through a shoulder problem. The Purdue tape is the headline, 185 yards and three scores of decisive, downhill running, and the long runs against Northwestern and Ohio State show a gear that turns six-yard gains into sixty. The questions are all about volume of evidence. This was one real season, interrupted by the shoulder, and the receiving work is plainly thin; the two drops against Ohio State in the biggest game of the year are the tape an NFL room will queue up first. Protection is willing but late, with scan-and-slide assignments catching him a step behind, and nobody knows yet whether he holds up under twenty touches a week for four months.
Everything that can be proven in one shortened year, he proved. The burst, the ball security, the after-contact yardage and the temperament for big games all read like a future contributor; the rest is a sample-size problem that another season of starts answers. The projection today is a developmental rotational back whose arrow points up faster than his ranking suggests.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
