A New Jersey product out of Bergen Catholic, where he earned multiple all-state honors and helped his school to a state championship, Bellamy signed with Notre Dame and redshirted as a freshman in 2022 without appearing in a game. He transferred to Syracuse and then to UCF, carrying veteran instincts from heavy snaps across three programs.As a redshirt junior in 2025, Bellamy started all twelve games for the Knights and led the team with eight pass breakups, adding an interception and 30 tackles while ranking among the league leaders in forcing incompletions. He earned All-Big 12 honorable mention as a reliable zone-scheme cover man, playing his sharpest game against Cincinnati before a tougher matchup with Texas Tech down the stretch. The eight breakups led UCF and ranked among the league leaders, capping a well-traveled career that finally produced a full starting season.
