Draft Profile: Bio
Zabien Brown came out of Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California, as one of the top cornerback recruits in the 2024 class. He earned five-star ratings from 247Sports and Rivals, ranked among the top five corners nationally, and chose Alabama over USC, Georgia, Michigan, and Ohio State. He also ran track in high school, posting 100-meter times in the low 11s.Brown signed with Nick Saban's final recruiting class and was on campus only days before Saban's retirement. He stayed in Tuscaloosa, and amid a wave of roster departures, stepped into the starting lineup from his first spring practice. As a true freshman in 2024, he started all 13 games, recorded three interceptions and two fumble recoveries (one returned 68 yards for a score), and earned Freshman All-SEC honors.
His sophomore season produced 39 tackles, 2.5 TFL, six pass breakups, a forced fumble, and two pick-sixes of 99 and 50 yards. The 99-yarder against Tennessee was the second-longest interception return in program history. He became the first Alabama corner to return two picks for touchdowns in a season since Antonio Langham in 1992, starting every game across both years for 28 consecutive starts.
