Draft Profile: Bio
Boston College signed Jones out of Catholic Memorial in West Roxbury, Massachusetts, where he piled up more than 5,200 all-purpose yards and 52 touchdowns and ranked among the state's top prospects in the 2023 cycle, drawing a four-star grade from 247Sports alongside three-star ratings from ESPN and Rivals. He redshirted in 2023, his first year on campus in Chestnut Hill.

As a redshirt freshman in 2024, Jones played five games and rushed eight times for 73 yards and a touchdown. His top statistical game came against Duquesne in September, when he carried five times for 65 yards including a 47-yard touchdown run, and he added three carries for eight yards against North Carolina in November, finishing the year averaging more than nine yards per attempt.

Jones did not see game action during the 2025 season, his third in the program. Heading into 2026, Boston College's roster lists him at wide receiver after he spent his first three years in the running back room.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Clocked among the fastest players in this group at any position.
  • Career receiving flashes kept him rostered through the position change.
  • The 2026 move to receiver finally matches the body and the stopwatch.
  • Two seasons of eligibility to rebuild value at the new spot.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • No game action in 2025, a full season of roster invisibility.
  • At 188 pounds the running back experiment has formally ended.
  • Career ground tape never rose above ordinary at any stop.
  • There is no protection file, and the receiver tape does not exist yet either.
  • The evaluation is currently a stopwatch and a position-change press note.
Scouting Report: Summary
The 2025 season produced no game action and one honest decision: Boston College moved him to receiver for 2026, formally ending a running back experiment that a 188-pound frame and rare timed speed had been arguing against for years. The flashes that exist on film are receiving flashes, swings and wheels that hinted at the position he is finally being asked to play.

What remains is close to a blank evaluation. The career ground tape never rose above ordinary at any stop, there is no protection file, the receiver tape does not exist yet, and a full season of roster invisibility precedes the conversion. Speed is the lone certified asset, and speed without a position is a tryout number, not a profile.

Position converts with verified wheels occasionally sprint their way straight into camp conversations, and two full seasons of remaining eligibility give this particular experiment an honest amount of runway. A 2026 season with real receiver production, or even consistent return-game impact on Saturdays, would create the first truly draftable evidence of his entire college career. Until that film exists, the projection remains undrafted bookkeeping in the purest sense: a verified fast athlete suspended between two positions, waiting for a graded body of work that does not yet exist anywhere.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
