Draft Profile: Bio
Montravius Lloyd from Lakewood High School was rated a 3-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 3-star grade by 247 Sports. Following high school, Lloyd joined Pittsburgh. In 2023 as a freshman Lloyd saw action in just one game for the Panthers as he ran for only 20 yards on 5 attempts for 4.0 yards per carry, with no TDs, with no fumbles. As a receiver he made only one reception for 7 yards.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- He’s solid in blitz pickup, and Lloyd consistently showed the ability to anchor against bigger players.
- Has good burst to and through the hole. A patient runner with good vision and burst for the cutback. Squares his shoulders and can knock the defender back onto his heels. Good leg drive and forward lean to gain extra yardage after contact.
- Lloyd often thrived in the screen game, transitioning upfield quickly and showing a knack for following his blocks. He has the size and strength to pass protect.
- Lloyd has the straight-line speed to outrun angles, and his flexibility allows him to turn the corner on the perimeter and stay near top speed as he does; he’s especially effective on fly sweeps.
- Possesses quick feet and straight-line speed but doesn't have the elite burst to be a constant big-play threat. Improving patience as a runner, following pulling guards and makes good decisions on his cut.
- His passing game skills are strong. He’s a natural hands catcher who turns upfield quickly in the screen game, and he shows a great feel for setting up wheel routes.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- He’s not going to threaten to take the top off of a defense.
- He’ll be coming to the NFL from a wide-open spread offense in which Lloyd ran a limited route tree.
- He’s good in space, but he doesn’t show much nuance as a route runner; he’s not necessarily a threat when he’s flexed out.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
