Signed by Pitt out of Lakewood High School in St. Petersburg, Florida, Lloyd carried three-star ratings from 247Sports, ESPN, Rivals and On3 in the 2023 class. As a junior at Lakewood he ran for 641 yards and 11 touchdowns at 5.8 yards per carry, caught 11 passes for 149 yards and a score, and chipped in 30 tackles and two interceptions on defense, drawing offers from Florida State, Wake Forest and West Virginia along the way.Lloyd's lone appearance for the Panthers came as a true freshman in the 2023 season opener against Wofford, when he carried five times for 20 yards and caught a seven-yard pass in a 45-7 win. He did not see the field in 2024 and entered the transfer portal in December of that year.
In April 2025 Lloyd committed to Bethune-Cookman, moving to the FCS ranks with three seasons of eligibility remaining; he was not credited with game statistics during the 2025 season.
