Draft Profile: Bio
Michael Turner Jr. was rated a four-star wide receiver at John Curtis Christian School in Kenner, Louisiana, and played both ways for a state championship team. He ran the 100 meters in about 10.5 seconds and had more than 30 scholarship offers. His coach, J.T. Curtis, said he could play on either side of the ball. His father, Michael Sr., was an All-Metro player at Bonnabel High School in 1987.Turner signed with LSU and redshirted in 2024 after playing in four games. He played in seven games in 2025, mostly on special teams, and broke up two passes.
Now a redshirt sophomore at cornerback, Turner has played in six games this season but only 68 snaps. His interception came on 26 September, when LSU beat Texas A&M 35-6. He played a season-high 26 snaps against McNeese, where he gave up a 49-yard day that included a touchdown.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Elite speed, posting one of the fastest forty times in the class
- Picked off a pass against Texas A&M in a September rout
- Former receiver with good ball skills and hands
- Sprinter who ran about 10.5 seconds in the 100 meters
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Has played only 68 defensive snaps this season
- McNeese beat him for a touchdown and 49 yards in October
- Very light for a cornerback and can be overpowered
- Still learning the position after converting from receiver
- Likely to return to LSU with eligibility left
Scouting Report: Summary
Turner is one of the fastest players in the class, a former receiver who is learning to play cornerback at LSU. He has the ball skills to make plays, as his interception against Texas A&M showed. However, he has played very little, with only 68 snaps this season, and McNeese beat him for a touchdown. His slight frame and raw technique are concerns at cornerback.
Overall, Turner is a speed prospect with a very short record. He projects as a priority free agent but is likely to stay at LSU to develop.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
